Ron graduated from Collins High School in 1963. He married Kathy Mayo in Nevada on June 25, 1965. They were blessed with one daughter, Shelley. The family enjoyed fishing and spending time at their cabin on Lake Louise in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Ron was employed as an assembler at John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny for 33 years, retiring in 1997. He then began a new career of building beautiful pieces of furniture including coffee tables, stereo cabinets, china hutches and jewelry armoires, for his home as well as for other family members and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Shelley Tiffany of Nevada; and three sisters, Lin (Bill Hunt) Tiffany of Englewood, CO, Dee (James Cochran) Tiffany of Kansas City, MO, and Cindy (Dave) Henry of Goodyear, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
