Melinda “Mindy” Angstrom, age 37, of Maxwell, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m.
Born July 12, 1979, in Des Moines, Iowa, Melinda Jeane (Robertson) Angstrom was the daughter of Vance and Jeannie (Bainter) Robertson. Mindy grew up in Maxwell and graduated from Collins-Maxwell High School in 1997.
On May 2, 1998, she married Chris Angstrom at the Maxwell Christian Church. The couple was blessed with two children, Alyssa and Christian.
Mindy enjoyed helping people and organized several Facebook groups devoted to supporting and uplifting others. She served as a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed family time, and will be remembered for the beautiful poetry she wrote.
Survivors include her husband, Chris; her children, Alyssa and Christian; her father, Vance Robertson of Maxwell; a brother, Paul (Andrea) Robertson of Maxwell; a sister, Justine Robertson of Maxwell; her step-grandmother, Beulah Bowman of Altoona; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Mindy was preceded in death by her mother, Jeannie Robertson; and a brother in infancy, Shawn Robertson.
Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Melinda and her family.
