Keith G. Mangold, age 66, of Nevada, died with his loving family by his side at his home in Nevada on Thursday, May 3, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018, with Pastor David Burling officiating.

Born July 28, 1951, in Albany, Nebraska, Keith Glen Mangold was the son of Ken and Helen (Kline) Mangold.  He grew up and received his education in Omaha, Nebraska, then served in the United States Navy and the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.  On April 21, 1986, he married Debra Sherill in Omaha.  One daughter, Jodi, was born to this union.

Keith worked in construction for many years and most recently delivered newspapers in the Ames and Nevada areas.  He will be remembered as a loving husband and father who cherished his family dearly and put their needs before his own.  Keith was a ‘big kid’ at heart and enjoyed his toy collection, watching cartoons, Cops, and knitting. 

Survivors include his wife, Debra; his daughter Jodi Mangold and her fiancé Josh Bartmess; a granddaughter; one brother and one sister.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Richelle Marie; and his parents.

Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Keith and his family.
