Janet (Weir) Clemens, age 64, of McCallsburg, Iowa, and formerly of Colo, Iowa, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Memorial services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa. Visitation was held one hour prior to services, with burial to follow in Colo Cemetery, Colo, Iowa.
Born June 10, 1949, in Ames, Iowa, Janet Marie Clemens was the daughter of John Raymond and Nina May (See) Weir. She grew up and attended school in Colo.
Janet enjoyed beadwork, loved fishing, and was an avid reader. She made her home in McCallsburg and worked as a home health aide in the area.
Survivors include her sister, Joyce Finch of Newton; a nephew, Chad (Mandy) Hill of Bellevue, NE; a niece, Stacie (Nick) Bunse of Newton; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Weir and Kevin Robert Weir in infancy; and a brother-in-law, Dave Finch.
