Mark Bugely, age 59, of Nevada, Iowa, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Brookside Park in Ames.
Born December 24, 1954, in Whitefield, New Hampshire, Mark Kane Bugely was one of ten children born to Arthur and Beatrice (Pealotte) Bugely. He grew up and was educated on the east coast. On February 8, 2008, Mark married Pamela Weuve in Nevada, Iowa. Mark worked as a handyman and in maintenance.
Mark was associated with Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ames. He was an avid ISU fan, enjoyed football, fixing things, helping people, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Pam, of Nevada; his mother, Beatrice Bugely, of Des Moines; a daughter, Cori Lynn Bugely of New Hampshire; three step-children, Danielle, Melissa, and Adam; two grandchildren, James and Kyndel; three brothers, Billy Bugely of Ames, Joe Bugely of Des Moines, and Neil Bugely of Nevada (state); two sisters, Valerie Johns of Arkansas, and Deanna Bugely of Ames; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father and four brothers.
Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Mark and his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mark's name may be directed to the family, 324 Maple Avenue, Nevada, IA 50201.
